On 2 July 2021, further discussions on the topical issues of administrative proceedings dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the establishment of administrative courts in the Republic of Azerbaijan were held by videoconference with the participation of judges and attorneys within the framework of cooperation between the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Bar Association.
On 25 June 2021, further discussions on the topical issues of administrative proceedings dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the establishment of administrative courts in the Republic of Azerbaijan were held by videoconference within the framework of the joint cooperation between the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Bar Association.
In accordance with the implementation of the objectives set out in the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan from 3 April 2019 "On deepening reforms in the judicial system", a new stage in the development of the judicial system has begun, a new foundation has been laid for deepening reforms in this area and a new road map has been identified. In connection with the commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the administrative courts this year, a number of measures are being taken to bring to the attention of the public the work done and achievements in the development of administrative justice
On 18 June 2021, the first discussion of topical issues in administrative court proceedings was held by a video conference with the participation of judges and attorneys within the framework of joint cooperation between the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Bar Association dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the administrative courts in the Republic of Azerbaijan
In accordance with Article 3 of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan from 1 June 2020 “On the approval of the Regulation on the “Electronic Court” information system”, it was recommended to the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan to take necessary measures in organizing and developing the “Electronic Court” information system.

Aimed at preventing the spread of the new type of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in the Republic of Azerbaijan and in connection with the consideration of cases by the courts operating in the territories of the cities of Baku, Calilabad, Ganca, Masalli, Mingechevir, Sumgayit, Yevlakh and regions of Absheron, Barda, Goranboy, Goygol, Khacmaz and Salyan where a strict quarantine regime is in force and further taking into account the recommendations of the World Health Organization, the Resolution No. 278 of the Special Task Force under the auspices of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 4 August 2020, the consistency of the approach taken in the Resolution No. 6 of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 23 April 2020, it is hereby recommended the following commencing from 06:00 on 5 August 2020 until 00:00 on 31 August 2020:

On May 8, 2020, a meeting on the 97th anniversary of the birth of the great leader Heydar Aliyev was held in the Supreme Court
The Chairman of the Supreme Court Ramiz Rzayev made a speech on the great leader's life and activities. Chairman of the Supreme Court stated that the great personality of Heydar Aliyev, who made a decisive word in the world of great politics and solving the fateful issues of our state, was widely accepted, he noted the connection of the honourable life of the great leader, who was the architect of independent Azerbaijan, with the fate of our people.
The following should be recommended to the courts of the Republic of Azerbaijan regarding the consideration of cases, taking into account recommendations of the World Health Organization and the Decision of the Operational Headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated May 1, 2020, the inevitability to continue the approach in the Decision No.6 of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated April 23, 2020, regarding the prevention of the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan chaired by Ramiz Rzayev was held on April 23, 2020.
The Chairman of the Supreme Court said, opening the Plenary session that death cases have been reduced to a minimum as a result of preventive measures taken in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19) infection in our country under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Borders were closed, a special quarantine regime was created, a special hospital was built within internal resources, necessary disinfection works were carried out, the production of masks, alcohol and other means against antivirus was started timely. People have been mobilized to fight against pandemic and involved in the campaign "Stay at home". Mass media periodically informs and enlighten the public about the pandemic. The state contributes to low-income families. If necessary, citizens are provided with permission via SMS. All of these urgent measures are highly appreciated by the World Health Organization and prove the establishment of the Azerbaijani model in the fight against pandemic on the international scale. Of course, our selfless doctors, police and journalists have played an important role in all of these works. It has been noted that the special quarantine regime was planned to be mitigated gradually in the republic and therefore the quarantine regime would be extended until May 4.
