On 18 June 2021, the first discussion of topical issues in administrative court proceedings was held by a video conference with the participation of judges and attorneys within the framework of joint cooperation between the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Bar Association dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the administrative courts in the Republic of Azerbaijan
The main goal of the new stage of judicial and legal reforms implemented in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan from 3 April 2019 "On deepening reforms in the judicial-legal system" by accelerating the process of forming a fair judiciary that meets modern requirements is to increase efficiency, public confidence, accessibility and transparency of the judiciary as a whole, and to achieve the development of the legal system.
In their opening remarks, President of the Administrative Chamber of the Supreme Court Khagani Mammadov and Chairman of the Bar Association Anar Baghirov described the establishment of the administrative court proceedings as an important new stage in the development of the judicial system and stressed the need to continue to act in accordance with the new challenges in order to achieve the goals set out by the Decree.
Judge of the Baku Administrative Court Rustam Karimli and the member of the Bar Association Elchin Usub made a presentation on "Drafting Procedural Documents in Administrative Court Proceedings" at the event.
After the presentation, there was a thorough exchange of views and discussions on the topic.
