The representative of the Department on Planning and Development of Head Office of the German Technical Cooperation (GTZ) Mr. Lothar Jahn and Local Project Coordinator of the German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ) in Georgia Mr. Shalva Papuashvili met with the Chairman of the Supreme Court Mr. Ramiz Rzayev on December 13, 2011.

During the meeting Chairman of the Supreme Court citing the example of the international conference for judges on April 4-5, 2011 in Tbilisi where Azerbaijani judges actively participated, as well as a quick translation into Azerbaijani language and the distribution of the Bangalore Principles adopted as a result of general advice at the conference he noted that cooperation between Azerbaijan and the German Technical Cooperation had been expanded in the legal sphere. Chairman of the Supreme Court said that the Bangalore Principles provided for single rules of behavior for judges in each country. From a global point of view it helps judges to administer justice properly. 

The representative of the Department on Planning and Development of Main Office of the German Technical Cooperation Mr. Lothar Jahn appreciated positively that Azerbaijan had been announced a legal state and the administrative courts began to act here. It was impossible in the Soviet period. 

Further opportunities for joint cooperation in the judicial sphere between Azerbaijan and the German Technical Cooperation were discussed on the meeting.

The guests got acquainted with the administrative building and the historical museum of the Supreme Court.
