A new case-law search engine of the Supreme Court has been launched

A new case-law search engine of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan was developed for the purposes of improving the administration of justice, ensuring the stability of the courts’ approach to solving legal issues and forming a uniform case law.

The new search engine provides access to the judgments and decisions of the Plenum of the Supreme Court, to the Chamber decisions ensuring the uniformity of case law, to the judicial acts important in terms of uniform case law and to other judicial acts in cases reviewed in cassation.

Through this system, the courts of lower instances, as well as the general public, can easily retrieve the legal position of the Supreme Court searching by category, subcategory or other criteria related to a specific subject matter in cases considered in all Chambers of the Supreme Court.

Users, in order to access the case-law search engine, must go to the official website of the Supreme Court (www.supremecourt.gov.az) and navigate to the Search System section from there.

The case-law search engine of the Supreme Court will significantly contribute to the formation of a uniform case law, as well as make a major contribution to the predictability of case law. Ultimately, this will improve public satisfaction with the courts.
