Meeting with the delegation of the Republic of Iraq was held at the Supreme Court

The delegation led by the Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council of the Republic of Iraq, Faig Zidan, who was on a visit to our country based on the invitation of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan has a meeting at the Supreme Court on July 4, 2024.

The Chairman of the Supreme Court and Judicial-Legal Council   Inam Karimov while greeting the guests, provided detailed information about the work done to improve the judicial system of our country. It was mentioned that new information technologies were implemented in the court system, selection procedures for the judges were adapted to modern standards, and the legislation was improved. It was noted that the establishment of courts in accordance with modern requirements, increasing the professionalism in the implementation of justice, expanding relations between judicial and legal systems and exchanging experience are the requirements of the time.

The head of the delegation Faig Zidan expressing his gratitude for the invitation and warm reception, highly appreciated the bilateral relations and emphasized that there are opportunities for further expansion of relations between the two countries in the judicial and legal field. It was stated that the study of the organizational-legal provision and positive experience of judicial activity in Azerbaijan is carrying particular importance.

Issues of mutual interest were also discussed at the meeting.

At the end, the guests got acquainted with the administrative building of the Supreme Court.
