Meeting in Supreme court

On the February 22  there was held a meeting in Supreme Court between the delegation from German society of International cooperation(GIZ) headed by program leader Zeno Reyxenbexer  who are on a visit to Baku and  chairman of the Supreme Court Ramiz Rzayev.
On a meeting President of Supreme Court gave the information about Azerbaijan Judicial System, structure and activity of Supreme Court in addition he had mentioned that the European continental judicial system was implemented in Azerbaijan.  The international legal acts, “European Convention’s regulations on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms” and the European Convention’s precedent right of European Court being discussed. Newest information technologies are used during the hearing. The judge election procedures are coordinated in according with the European standards. 
On the meeting also was introduced the new manager of “Support for Azerbaijan on Judicial and Legal Reforms” project of German society of International cooperation, Thomas Melserin.
Guests from Germany got acquainted with the building of Supreme Court which is corresponding to supreme status, Conference room and with the working conditions of judges. Also was admitted that the building of Supreme Court   corresponding to a place, where could be held the international judicial events.  Holding up here the international conference for judges of the administrative board, on second half of the 2011 was suggested by head of program Zeno Reyxenbexer.
At the end of the meeting President of Supreme Court express his gratitude to Head of the program of German society of International cooperation, new manager of “Support for Azerbaijan on Judicial and Legal Reforms” project and it’s participants, representative of German society of International cooperation in Azerbaijan for showing particular emphasis to Azerbaijan Judicial system, also for this important meeting and wished new success and achievements in further activity
