Visit of delegation headed by Mr. Ramiz Rzayev to Belarus

On September, 27-28, 2012 the delegation headed by the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan made a visit to Minsk, Belarus to take part in the II International Forum of the judiciary on the judicial protection of rights on "Efficiency and quality of justice : modern technologies and approaches".

The possibilities of using modern methods and technologies to improve the efficiency and quality of justice as well as the problems of using the e-courts were discussed on the International Forum which was attended by the representatives from more than 50 countries.

During the visit, Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ramiz Rzayev met with Chairman of the Supreme Court of Belarus Mr. Valentin Sukalo in the building of the Supreme Court of Belarus. During the meeting, current situation of the legal cooperation between two countries and future prospects of the cooperation were discussed. Also the importance of the development of bilateral relations between the Supreme Courts of Belarus and Azerbaijan was noted.

As the guests of honor, Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ramiz Rzayev and Chairman of the Administrative-Economical Board of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Hikmat Mirzayev participated on the 90th anniversary of bodies considering economic disputes of the Republic of Belarus and 10th anniversary of the Supreme Arbitration, Economic and other courts considering the cases on economic disputes. Congratulations on the jubilees from Chairman of the Supreme Court Mr. Ramiz Rzayev addressed to the Chairman of the Supreme Economic Court of the Republic of Belarus Mr. Victor Kamenkov sounded on the event. It was also noted that cooperation between Azerbaijan and Belarus was always based on friendship and trust and today this cooperation deepens and develops.

An Agreement between the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Supreme Economic Court of the Republic of Belarus was signed in Minsk. The principles and directions of cooperation between the Supreme Courts of both countries were determined in the Agreement. It is planned to continue this cooperation in the framework of international law. The Agreement was signed by Chairman of the Supreme Economic Court of the Republic of Belarus Mr. Victor Kamenkov and Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ramiz Rzayev.
