The Chairman of the Supreme Court, Mr. Ramiz Rzayev met with the delegation led by the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Zhakyp Asanov.
06.06.2006, 12:35On November 26, 2019, the Chairman of the Supreme Court, Mr. Ramiz Rzayev met with the delegation led by the Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Zhakyp Asanov.
Welcoming the honorable guests in Azerbaijan, the Chairman of the Supreme Court informed them about the activities on the way to modernize the judicial system, to increase judicial efficiency and to ensure the rule of law, and noted that these activities serve in order to protect the human rights and freedoms. Informing the guests about the use of the latest information technologies in judiciary, about the process for selecting judges on the modern standards, the Chairman of the Supreme Court spoke about the close cooperation with the international human rights organizations, in particular with the European Court of Human Rights.
The Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Zhakyp Asanov, said that they are deeply interested in the judicial practice and legislative base of Azerbaijan that meet modern requirements. He emphasized the importance of expanding cooperation in order to study the current legislation and the judicial system of Azerbaijan.
A presentation on the activities of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan also took place at the meeting with judges of the Supreme Court. The experience of Azerbaijan in the reform of administrative and procedural law, of the application and development of a new administrative law, was discussed at the meeting. The meeting gave an opportunity to both sides to exchange the opinions on the activities of administrative courts and current judicial practice.
Guests from Kazakhstan got acquainted with the administrative building of the Supreme Court and visited the Museum of Court. The Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Zhakyp Asanov, wrote his heartfelt words in Supreme Court’s Memory book.
