Visit of the President of the Supreme Court to Strasbourg

President of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan took part in the workshop dedicated to the opening of the judicial year of the European Court of Human Rights and in the Seminar on “International and national courts confronting large-scale violations of human rights”., held in Strasbourg on 29th of January 2016.
During the Seminar the presentations on “Genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes” and “Terrorism” were made. Broad discussions and exchange of views around these speeches were held. The President of the Supreme Court during his meetings with other Chief Justices and judges gave the information about judicial system of the Republic of Azerbaijan and expressed Azerbaijani nation’s and state’s point of view on discussed issues as the country that is exposed to war crimes, terrorism and genocide by Armenia.
