The delegates from the World Bank have visited the Supreme Court

On January 26, 2010, Mr. David Bernstein, the head of the Task Group for the modernization project of judicial system of the World Bank and Mr. Gerald Thacker, the advisor on the court buildings of the same project have met with Mr. Ramiz Rzayev, the Chairman of the Supreme Court.

The Chairman of the Supreme Court spoke about the implementation of new information technologies, especially, about the creation of IT electron judicial system, circulation of electron documents and electron stand. The Chairman noted the necessity of implementation of progressive information technologies at the Supreme Court. The Chairman of the Supreme Court stated that the main task was to create the ability among the users to derive benefit from IT system.

Mr. Mehman Ibrahim, the chief of Information Technologies Division of the Supreme Court, spoke about the problems during the implementation of the information technologies.

Mr. David Bernstein, the head of the Tack Group for the modernization project of judicial system, expressed his satisfaction about the implementation of new information technologies at the Supreme Court. He stressed that new designs will be worked out in the framework of the project and more complete electron system will be used in the management of the documents and the cases that are to be considered.

The guests got acquainted the new building which corresponds with the high status of the Supreme Court, the working conditions of judges, historical museum of court and the electron library. 
At the end of the meeting the Chairman of the Supreme Court expressed his gratitude to Mr. David Bernstein, the head of the Tack Group of the World Bank for the modernization project of judicial system and Mr. Gerald Thacker, the advisor on the court buildings of the same project, for their care and special attention to the implementation of new information technologies to the judicial system of Azerbaijan and wished them good luck in their future activity.
