Justice of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sayyad Karimov paid a visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan

On 14-15 March 2022, Justice of the Administrative Chamber of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sayyad Karimov attended a series of events held in the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of administrative justice. During his visit, Sayyad Karimov visited the Specialized Interdistrict Administrative Court (SIAC) in the city of Nur-Sultan and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the meeting in SIAC, held on 14 March 2022, the activities of the administrative court, the results of the 8 months’ work and the practice of application of the new Code were discussed. President of the Administrative Chamber of the Nur-Sultan city court Damir Abdugaliev noted the role and importance of the practice of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the development and implementation of administrative justice in Kazakhstan. Justice Sayyad Karimov shared his experience of reviewing public and legal disputes in the Republic of Azerbaijan with the judges of the first instance. During the meeting, problematic issues in the practice of applying law were discussed, as well as questions raised by the participants at the event were addressed.

On 15 March 2022, Justice Sayyad Karimov met with the Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan Natalia Pana. The meeting was dedicated to the exchange of experience in the field of administrative justice. Justice of the Constitutional Court of Latvia Janis Neimanis and representatives of the Republican Bar Association and the Representation of the American Bar Association (ABA ROLI) took part in this meeting.

During the event, relevant challenging issues of establishment of the law enforcement practices of administrative justice were raised, which Justice Sayyad Karimov and Justice Yanis Neimanis exhaustively answered based on a record of existing experience on these issues in Azerbaijan and in Latvia.
