Meeting with the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Lithuania Mr. Darius Valys and Director General of Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania Mr. Zimantas Pacevicius

On April 27, 2011 Mr. Ramiz Rzayev met with Prosecutor General of the Republic of Lithuania Mr. Darius Valys and Director General of Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania Mr. Zimantas Pacevicius. 
During this meeting, the Chairman of the Supreme Court, spoke about judicial system of Azerbaijan, about structure and activity of the Supreme Court, and also noted that the European Continental Judicial system is applied in Azerbaijan. The International legal acts, particularly the provision of the European Convention for the Protection of human rights and freedoms, a case law of the European Court of Human rights are studied carefully and refer to in our country. The decided adjudications are coordinated with the European standards. The latest information technologies are used in the judicial system. 
Chairman of the Supreme Court noted that he was very pleased with the cooperation relations between the judicial legal system and prosecutorial organs of Lithuania, and said that the signing of the agreement and the collaborative program would provide deeper development and expansion of cooperation between the Azerbaijan General Prosecutor Office s Department for Fighting Corruption and Special Investigation Service of Lithuania.
Prosecutor General of the Republic of Lithuania Mr. Darius Valys informed Mr. Rzayev about the Prosecutors Office and judicial system of his country and noted that he was also pleased with co-operation established between Azerbaijan and Lithuania.
Visitors from Lithuania familiarized with the administrative building of the Supreme Court. They visited the museum of the Supreme Court, and Prosecutor General of the Republic of Lithuania wrote his cordial regards in the Book of Memory.
At the end of the meeting Chairman of the Supreme Court expressed his gratitude to the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Lithuania Mr. Darius Valys and Director General of Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania Mr. Zimantas Pacevicius for a special attention and interest to judicial bodies of the Azerbaijan Republic and wished the best regards in their further work.
